Female teacher also shot at South Carolina elementary school

2 students,teacher injured in shooting at Townville Elementary School.

Two students were injured and airlifted to Greenville Memorial Hospital and a female teacher was taken by ambulance to AnMed after a shooting at Townville Elementary School, according to Taylor Jones with Anderson County Emergency Management.


  • A teen gunman has been arrested after opening fire at Townville Elementary School in South Carolina on Wednesday
  • Officials say the gunman - whose name and gender have not been revealed - shot two students and a female teacher around 1:45pm 
  • The two students were life-flighted to the hospital, while the teacher was taken by ambulance
  • All three are expected to survive 
  • A death was reported at a residence three miles away, but police will not say whether they are connected


Teen gunman is in custody after shooting two students and a female teacher at a South Carolina elementary school.

A teen gunman has been arrested after opening fire at a South Carolina elementary school on Wednesday.

Police say the gunman - whose name and sex have not been revealed - shot two other students and a female teacher at Townville Elementary school around 1:45pm on Wednesday.

The two students were taken by helicopter to the Greenville Health System pediatric trauma center, while the teacher was taken by ambulance to AnMed Health Medical Center. Fox Carolina reports that the teacher was grazed by a bullet while the two students were shot, and that all three are expected to survive
