Japanese PM to make first visit to Russia in a decade

Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe will visit Moscow at the request of Russian President Vladimir Putin for a visit ending May 30.

Among the pressing issues Abe will discuss is the possibility of signing a peace treaty that Russia and Japan currently lack, despite it being 70 years since the end of World War II.

Economic cooperation is also expected to dominate the talks, as the Japanese delegation consists of 120 high-ranking officials and executives.
